Environmentally Conscious Materials
Cork
Cork is a material that is stripped from the bark of a cork oak tree.The tree will regenerate the cork harvested from it.
Bamboo
Bamboo is actually a type
of grass. It grows incredibly fast and can reach full size in a fraction of the time it takes for a tree to grow. This makes it a highly sustainable material.
Wheat Straw
Wheat Straw is the stalk left over after wheat grains are harvested. When combined with plastic it reduces the quantity of plastic needed to produce an item. These products are durable and re-usable
Paper
Trees are a natural and renewable resource that absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and store carbon in wood, which can be pulped and used to manufacture paper and cardboard.
Our paper is made from the wood pulp of sustainably farmed trees, and can be recycled over and over again.
Jute
Jute is a natural fibre made from the outer stem and skin of the jute plant. Harvested fibres are spun into yarn which
is then used to make reusable bags and other products. The
plants are easily farmed without pesticides, and grow to maturity within 6 months.
The material is entirely biodegradable and compostable.
Cotton
Cotton plants produce fibres which are harvested, spun
into thread and then woven into fabric. It is sustainable and biodegradable Reusable cotton bags reduce the need for disposable plastic bags, which pollute our oceans
